  • Was born with impairments in both arms and legs, and had both legs amputated at the age of three. Began playing wheelchair basketball for Sasebo WBC in 2011, at the invitation of a school staff member while in junior high school. Competed in the Asian Youth Para Games in 2013, and helped get the team to 2nd place. Rose to prominence in the Mitsubishi Electric IWBF Asia-Oceania Championships in Chiba in 2015, and has since been a member of the Japan national wheelchair basketball team. In 2016, he competed in the Rio Paralympic Games as the youngest member of the team, while still attending Nagasaki Prefectural Osaki High School. Transferred to a club team in Kanagawa Prefecture the following year. A rising young star, ready to shoulder the future of the Japan national team.
