  • Yagi was born with thrombocytopenia-absent radius syndrome in both arms and has short forearms as a result. He began playing table tennis after joining his junior high school team and started competing in international para table tennis tournaments in 2015. He is outstandingly quick on his feet to make up for the disadvantage he has against opponents with a greater reach. As of April 1, 2020, he is ranked No. 8 in the world and has qualified for Tokyo 2020, which will be his first Paralympic Games. He is an all-rounder with a right shakehand grip. (August 2020)
