  • Lost most of her vision due to fibrous dysplasia as a second-year in junior high school, and transferred to a school for those with visual impairments. Started playing goalball at the suggestion of a teacher at the school, and later became a part of the Japan national team. Competed in the London 2012 Paralympic Games at age 17, as the youngest member of the Japan team, and became a gold medalist. Later grew into her role as the central figure of the team’s offense. Known for her precise control over the ball, with the physical endurance to maintain this precision until the very end of the match. Graduated from Rikkyo University.
