  • Discovered goalball as a second-year in high school, when a teacher who worked as a coach for a club team told her they didn’t have enough team members for their matches. Moved away from the sport as a third-year to focus on university examinations, but started playing again after entering the University of Tsukuba in 2016, becoming part of the Japan national team. Was recognized for the stability of her defense while playing in tournaments like the IBSA Goalball World Championships, and was officially named center—the central figure in the team’s defense. Is expected to serve as the team playmaker, driving the flow of the game. Her motto is “Never give up!”
