  • B1 Class. Became blind at around one year old due to retinoblastoma. Started judo as a first-year in elementary school, when his parents, who were concerned about him not getting enough exercise, took him to a judo class. Was champion of the All Japan Judo Championships for the Blind and Visually Impaired two years in a row, in 2015 and 2016, garnering attention as a young, promising athlete in the sport. His goal for the Tokyo Paralympic Games—his first Paralympic Games—is to win a medal. Works as an employee at Gakushuin University. (As of March 2021)
