  • Developed the incurable condition, AAA Syndrome, which is caused by unknown factors and which weakens muscle strength in the entire body, at the age of 31. The condition left him with dysfunction in both arms and legs, and led to the start of his life in a wheelchair. Began archery at 46 years old. Was unsure about competitive play due to his age, but found himself attracted to the sport, which allowed him to compete at the same level as able-bodied athletes. Trained, and competed for the first time in the world championships in 2007. Since, he has ranked near the top in both domestic and international tournaments, and in the world championships in June 2019, he qualified for the Tokyo Paralympic Games. However, he passed away on February 7, 2021 at the age of 62. (Last Updated: February, 2021)
